"We chose to aim to make a wine that was well balanced, with strong Willamette Valley fruit purity, and where the wildfire smoke was part of the wine in a way that was a feature. We aged the wine for 9.5 months, sur lie the whole time. 80% of it was in French barrels (3% new), the remaining 20% aged in stainless steel tanks. By the end of the process, a unique wine was made with strong red cherry notes and a delightful bit of smoke. Pair with BBQ or Thanksgiving dinner." Tasting Notes
